This is an indispensable tool for specialist Healthcare Facility Design professionals. Briefing Lite is the lite IPAD version of the popular “Briefing” Module of the HFBS (Health Facility Briefing System) web-based platform. It allows HFBS users to get editable and LIVE access to their healthcare briefing information on IPAD whilst connected to the internet through WiFi or Sim Card. We will progressively make all HFBS modules available for IPAD.
Briefing Lite for IPAD allows you to: Choose your project and milestone, Choose a reference project or Standard Projects, Edit the Project, Departments, Rooms, Finishes, Equipment and Services; or Drag and drop any of the elements from the Reference Project(s), Drag and drop from 4 sets of menus matched to the content type, Insert specifications and brand names.
The only restriction of Briefing Lite for IPAD LITE. is that you cannot create a personal HFBS Account, create a new project or or copy a new Milestone. All of these functions need to be performed on the web before using Briefing Lite for IPAD.
In short this version is for the the existing HFBS account holders who are already heavy users of the system including Briefing Lite on the web. The IPAD version will provide these existing users the benefit of total mobility and continuous live and editable access to all of their projects anywhere on site or at a meeting with the client. You can save the changes on IPAD and then follow through on the PC using the web version. The data source is the same and both systems are interchangeable.
If you need to be able to create a new personal account, register a new project or copy into a new Milestone, you will need HFBS Briefing for IPAD.

This app provides the contents of the International Health Facilities Guidelines (iHFG) by HPI through an easy to navigate user interface.
The guidelines are divided into 5 Parts:
Part A-Administrative Provisions
Part B-Health Facility Briefing and Planning
Part C-Access, Mobility, OH&S
Part D-Infection Control
Part E-Engineering Services & Environmental Design
Part B is possibly the most important part of the iHFG. It includes important subjects such as: Role Delineation Level (RDL) Guide, Planning, and Functional Planning Units (FPU’s). Currently 33 FPU’s (Hospital Departments) are offered with detailed text, generic Schedules of Accommodation (SOA) and Functional Relationship Diagrams (FRD). In addition, Standard Components (SC’s) of design are offered in two formats, Room Data Sheets (RDS) and Room Layout Sheets (RLS). There are approximately 500 of each or a total of 1000 SC’s.
This new version of the iHFG Pro has all the same content and navigation system as the iHFG Lite. However, it also has the Health Facility Guidelines of several Countries, some based on the iHFG with additional local customizations. Most of the iHFG Pro’s 500 Standard Components (Medical Templates) have been enhanced to include Reflect Ceiling Plans. Also, iHFG Pro for iPAD and iPhone (but not Android) has a shopping cart system to allow you to purchase editable DWG versions of the International Standard Components for as little as $1 each.
The guidelines included in the iHFG Pro for iPad and iPhone are:
International Health Facility Guidelines (iHFG)
These are generic International Health Facility Guidelines by Health Projects International (HPI). These can be used by users around the world where local, mandatory or adequate guidelines may not be available.
